Welo Opal - [photos 1,2,3,4] This stone is similar to Austrailian Opal. However, it has color play completely thorough the stone, not just in layers or bands. Amethyst - [photos 5,6,7] This amethist displays several shades of Purple. This stone uses a very unique cutting design that eleminates "Bow-tie" effect, called Marquessa Cut, in a Marquis, Emerald or Regtangular shaped stone. Fire Opal - [photos 8,9] This stone a beautiful example of the Fire Opal coming out of Mexico.This fire opal is cut in a modified 7 main Brilliant cut. The color is simply "orange-a-licious!" This stone is 2.56ct, 10.3mm, and VS1 in clarity. Origin: Mexico. A Beautiful cut stone! [photos 8,9]
Phenakite - [photos 10,11] This stone is a "Collector's" stone. Phenakite is a Berillium Neosilicate. This is a relatively new "find" coming out of Nigeria. It is a very clear and durable stone that ranges in hardness from 7.8 to 8. With a medium-high refractive index it is often used as accent stones instead of White Sapphire. **The largest known faceted stone of Phenakite is 555ct, cut by Jack Call** [photos 10, 11]
Namanga Garnet(tm) - [photos 12, 13] This stone is cut in a Square Cushion cut. It is 1.55vts, 6.5mm, and SI clarinty. This is a "New" type of Garnet not commonly seen in this deep shade of Crimson Red with flashes of pinkish Red, orangy Red, and ocasional yellow. Namangas are a combination of Spessartite, Rhodolite, Pyrope-Almandine. Namanga Garnet(tm) is Amazing material to work with. Origin: Namanga, Kenya, Africa.
